What Makes us Tick

I recently took a personality type indicator assessment. That’s a fancy way to say I took a personality test. I actually took more than one with the questions worded many different ways. I felt it was only accurate to do it that way. I took various types of tests and all of them told me the same thing…that I was a rare bird, but a rare bird with a knack for writing. Now can you imagine that?!

Still, I think it was good for me to do so. It forced me to look at myself honestly. I think we sometimes need to take a good honest look at ourselves. I like to study people. I like to know what makes them tick. I need to understand the motives behind actions, the emotions and reasonings that propel human beings to perform the various acts that they do.

I had a lot of fun taking the test and have decided to provide all of my friends here in Blog Land with some links, just in case you want to join me. But, please, feel free to share your results with me. It’s no fun to take a test if nobody will talk about the results with you.

and this one is chalk full of information on human personalities. http://personalityjunkie.com/2010/01/30/enneagram-threes-3-introverts-or-extraverts-infp-intp-infj-intj/Oh, and by the way, I’m an INFJ on the Myer’s Briggs.
